City living can have a huge impact on your skin and how it ages. The polluted air, bacteria filled offices and public transport, late nights and everyday stress can all contribute to the many signs of premature aging. One way to prevent these signs is to ensure that you thoroughly cleanse your skin morning and night to remove any build-up of dirt. I have tried and tested many different cleansers throughout the years and these are my favourites.
Sarah Chapman- Skinesis- Ultimate cleanse –
This oil based cleansing balm is full of anti-inflammatory omega’s and antioxidants. It smells incredible and the balm texture melts in to the skin to remove all make up including my layers waterproof mascara. Rosehip, meadow foam, and jojoba oils are the reason this product smells divine. Rinse with warm water and a cleansing mitt so that your skin is left feeling soft, supple and deeply clean. A little does go a long way and this will last around 2 – 3 months. This has recently become my favourite cleanser and is perfect for a mini pamper session in the evening.
Eve Lom- Cleanser
Coming in at a close second is the multi award winning Eve Lom cleanser. The thick balm transforms in to a silky oil like formula when warmed in between your fingers. It comes with easy to follow instructions that show you how to give yourself a signature facial massage that will drain toxins and stimulate cells. The cleanser comes with a muslin cloth that will lightly exfoliate your skin without being harsh. The result? Super soft skin with a radiant glow. Only needing a pea-sized amount of this balm means that the product will last around 4 months.
Elemis- Pro Collagen cleansing balm
Another close contender is the Elemis pro collagen cleansing balm. This powerful cleanser dissolves all dirt and pollutants from the skin and reveals a growing complexion. Use with the cleansing cloth provided for a deep clean and light exfoliation. The large tub will last around 4 months, as you will again only need a pea-sized amount for your face. You will be left with glowing skin that’s well-nourished.
Liz Earl – Cleanse and polish
This hot cloth cleanser is another multi award winning favourite of mine. When massaged in to dry skin the thick indulgent cream will remove all traces of makeup and pollutants. Wipe away with a warm damp muslin cloth for the ultimate cleanse. Enriched with cocoa butter, rosemary and chamomile this moisturising cleanser will leave you fresh faced and comfortable. This is my favorite everyday products.
Emma Hardie- Moringa cleansing balm
Emma Hardies Moringa cleansing balm is a fantastic balm cleanser that deeply cleanses and purifys skin whilst leaving it feeling hydrated and well balanced. Enriched with Orange, Jasmine and Rose, Neroli, Mandarin to rejuvenate the skin and minimise fine lines. It smells gorgeous and will leave you feeling like you have had a spa facial at home.
Trilogy- Make up be gone cleansing balm
Mango butter, rosehip oil and coconut oil nourish and protect the skin whist removing all traces of make up. The organic balm is formulated with beeswax and is free from parabens, perfumes and synthetic colours making it extra gentle for when my sin is really sensitive. The balm is quite hard so need to be warmed up well in the between fingers before using. This is one of my favorite cleansers for the winter when my skin is feeling dehydrated.
